Plustek announced the release of its new Plustek dual stream video server VS 540i, which simultaneously supports four analog cameras and is designed to ease migration of existing analog camera applications. The new encoder offers an internal SD card socket, to more effectively record motion detection video footage, and a convenient TV-out function.  The new Plustek video encoder supports the full array of leading analog video cameras and converts analog signals into digital streams to be sent over IP networks for viewing and recording on networked computers.

Taiwan Metro Cargo Deploys State-of-the-Art Plustek Video Surveillance to Improve Safety and Operations

Station outside of the major city, Taiwan Metro's maintenance crew faced with large tractors and equipment use to maintain the cargo trains.  Crew members were forced to travel in between large machines, uneven platforms, dark tunnels, and work in various hazardous locations.  Taiwan Metro sought not only to improve the passengers on board, but its worker’s safety and efficiency against unsafe areas and its second largest problem-graffiti.
